If they secretly enjoy attention, announce their golden anniversary in their local paper or church bulletin. Include a wedding photo and information about where they’ve lived, where they’ve worked and the names of their children and grandchildren.
Have all of their friends and family write letters of congratulations, and put them all in a scrapbook for the couple.
